The Commerce Clause and Health Care Reform

By BJ Lawson, on Mar 9, 2010

Judge Andrew Napolitano, Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst and author of Nation of Sheep and Constitutional Chaos, has a brief but critically insightful commentary on the history of the commerce clause and how it relates to the planned health care reform.

Please watch it, and let your senators know in no uncertain terms that healthcare must be given back to patients and providers.

The current restrictions against purchasing health care across state lines are yet another example of the commerce clause being misapplied against its original intent, and increasing costs for patients. In short, the commerce clause was intended to allow free trade among the States, not restrict it.

Did you all read the Health Care Bill.  I realize that at 1000 + pages(?) It is quite daunting.  there is actually a clause in there that tanning salons will be taxed 10%.  Now, this is a HEALTH CARE reform bill. So what else is lurking in there.  It's got to go if the American people did not agree on each and every bit of it.
